LureID is operated by Averla LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We built LureID to be simple and respectful of your privacy — we do not sell your data and we do not require an account to use the app.
Information We Collect
LureID collects only what is necessary to provide the identification service:
Photos you submit for identification. When you scan a lure, the photo is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate the identification result. Photos are not stored on our servers after the identification is returned.
Scan count. We store a count of how many free scans you have used, locally on your device only. This is never transmitted to our servers.
Purchase status. If you unlock the app, your unlock status is stored locally on your device and verified through RevenueCat, our payment processor.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address.
We do not collect your name, location, or any other personal information.
We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
Third-Party Services
LureID uses the following third-party services to function:
Anthropic — processes photos you submit to generate lure identifications. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
eBay — used to retrieve recent sold listing prices for identified lures. No personal data is shared with eBay.
Apple App Store / Google Play — handles payment processing for in-app purchases. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Camera Access
LureID requests access to your device camera solely to allow you to photograph lures for identification. We do not access your camera roll or photo library without your explicit action.
Data Retention
Photos sent for identification are processed in real time and are not retained by Averla LLC after the result is returned. Scan counts and unlock status are stored locally on your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
LureID is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
